You can see an appreciation for handcrafted, handmade work coming back again. I was always around it and always appreciated it. Maybe that’s why I studied craft at the National College of Art and Design. I have been in the business since then. I graduated in 1996 and I moved to New Zealand for adventure. My husband is from New Zealand, so we lived there for a while. We moved back to Ireland in 1998 and I worked in galleries and craft businesses. In 2012 I set up my own business and this developed into the Kildare Gallery in 2015.
