Eoghan McGrath

Eoghan is a self-taught Kilkenny based artist with a background in teaching and medicine. His paintings have featured in the Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition on numerous occasions where he was awarded the K&M Evans Prize for painting and the Royal Ulster Academy Annual Exhibition in Belfast. In 2007 he was shortlisted for the inaugural Davy Portrait Prize and the Hennessy Portrait Prize in 2017.

Some selected exhibitions include solo shows at the Molesworth Gallery in Dublin and as Artist in residence in Carton House. His work is held in public and private collections both nationally and internationally including the OPW state collection and the National Self Portrait Collection of Ireland in Limerick.
